The central government has increased the authorized authorized force of the Jharkhand IAS cadre from 215 to 224, an improvement of nine more posts compared to the previous force.

According to the new sanctioned endowment, the total number of high-level positions will be 122, the central deputation will be 48, the state deputation will be 30, the training reserve will be four, while the undergraduate reserve and the reserve of junior positions will be 20.

The posts to be filled by promotion under Rule 8 of the Indian Administrative Service (Recruitment) Regulations 1954 is 68, while the posts to be filled by direct recruitment are 156.

The measure modifies the Administrative Service of India (Fixing Force of Square) Regulations 1955, according to which the previous total authorized force of the Jharkhand IAS square was 215.

The Personnel Ministry made the decision in consultation with the Jharkhand government last month and the announcement was made through an official written order published in a gazette notice on January 1.

“In exercise of the powers conferred by subsection (1) of section 3 of the All India Services Act, 1951 (61 of 1951), read with sub-rules (1) and (2) of rule 4 of Table of Administrative Services of India) Rules, 1954, the Central Government, in consultation with the Government of Jharkhand, hereby makes the regulations to amend the Indian Administrative Service (Setting Strength of Table) Regulations 1955 ”, it reads in the notification.

“This Regulation may be called the Indian Administrative Service Fourth Amendment Regulation (Table Force Fixation), 2021. It will enter into force on the date of its publication in the Official Gazette.”

In the Indian Administrative Service (Chart Strength Fixing) Regulations, 1955, senior service positions in the Jharkhand government include a chief secretary of the government; a Development Commissioner; a member of the Revenue Board; a Director General, Sri Krishna Institute of Public Administration; six main secretaries; a Chief Secretary to the Governor; a Chief Secretary to the Chief Minister; an Electoral Director; a Principal Secretary of Agriculture; five division commissioners; and 22 government secretaries.

In addition, other senior service positions in the Jharkhand government comprise 22 additional / deputy / deputy special secretaries; a Tribal Welfare Commissioner; a Director of Industries; an IG prison; an IG record; a state transportation commissioner; a Labor Commissioner; a Registrar, Cooperative Societies; 24 Magistrate / District Collector / DC / ADC; and 10 Municipal Commissioner / DDC Settlement Officer / Executive Director.

Other than that, there is a position of one each for Commissioner, Business Taxes; Director, Panchayati Raj; Director of Municipal Administration; Director of Land Acquisition and Land Registries; Mission Director, National Rural Health Mission; The director, Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan; Commissioner, MNREGA; Administrator, multipurpose project Swan Rekha; Director of Primary Education; Director of Secondary Education; Director of Social Welfare; Sports Director; Tourism Director; Director of Agriculture; RRDA Vice President; Director, SUDA; The municipal commissioner, Ranchi Nagar Nigam; and Mission Director, Jharkhand State Skill Mission Society.
