India to face Bangladesh in the final of the SAFF Women’s Under-19 Championship

India advanced to the final of the SAFF Women’s Under-19 Championship after defeating Nepal 1-0 in their final group stage match in Dhaka on Sunday.

Priyanka Devi scored the winning goal in the 66th minute.

India head coach Alex Ambrose made two changes to his starting eleven since his last game against Bangladesh, with Nitu Linda and Lynda Kom replacing Kritina Devi and Santosh, respectively.

India took the initial initiative, but did not take advantage of its opportunities. Captain Shilky Devi threw a ball from the left in the 19th minute and passed it to Sumati, who missed an open opportunity to find the back of the net.

India’s best chance came in the 42nd minute, when Priyangka Devi fired a pass from Shilky Devi, but it went wide.

Ten minutes after the second half, Mariyammal’s corner kick fell directly to Lynda Kom in the six-yard box, but she was unable to connect the ball properly.
