Election of the Assembly of the UP 2022: ‘Bull’ sweeps the electoral campaign of the Assembly of the UP 2022 | India News
NEW DELHI: After caste, religion, polarization, gender, development policies and other issues, the seemingly not-so-humble “saand” (bull) has also made a wild card entry in the upcoming Uttar Pradesh assembly elections.
Addressing an election rally in Unnao on Tuesday, Samajwadi (SP) Party Chairman Akhilesh Yadav said that if the party government came to power in the state, his government would give 5 lakh rupees compensation to those who died. by an attack of a “saand”.

He said: “I read in the newspaper that a ‘saand’ killed an old woman in Kanpur Dehat.”
Akhilesh announced for the first time that those who died in accidents while riding a bicycle would receive an ex gratia payment of 5 lakh rupees. Attacking the ruling government Yogi Adityanath of the BJP in UP, he said that the SP government (which ruled the state between 2012 and 2017) had created bike lanes, but the current dispensation removed them. As a result, several cyclists lost their lives in accidents.
He went on to state that if the SP government came to power, it would give compensation of Rs 5 lakh to cyclists who died in accidents. He added that those who were attacked and killed by bulls would also be compensated with the same amount.

The bicycle is the electoral symbol of SP.
Mocking UP Prime Minister Yogi Adityanath and the BJP, he said that a “saand” attacks anything that is red in color. “The leaders and workers of the SP wear red caps and, therefore, the ‘saand’ attacks them,” he said.
Addressing a rally in Varanasi on December 23, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had targeted opposition parties and talked about cows and buffalo.
He said those who make jokes about cows and buffaloes forget that millions of people depend on “pashudhan” (cattle) for their livelihoods.
PM Modi said: “The cow is our mother and is sacred to us”, adding that some find it as “sin”.
In fact, the relationship between “saand” and Akhilesh dates back to April 2019 in the run-up to the last Lok Sabha elections. A bull crashed into a rally in Kannauj in UP as Akhilesh addressed it, injuring some members of the security personnel.
Akhilesh attacked Yogi saying that the CM had not been able to control the stray animals. In response, Yogi compared the “saand” to the vehicle of Lord Shiva (vaahan) Nandi to strike Akhilesh.
“Nandi goes to the SP rallies and asks about the whereabouts of the friends of the butchers. I told Nandi Baba that the elections are ongoing. The model code of conduct (MCC) is in force. Please forgive them in this moment. You can continue your work after the elections are over, “Yogi said.
In a tweet on September 4, Akhilesh again shot the BJP and Yogi Adityanath, who is coming from Gorakhpur. “Bad company is showing its true colors in Gorakhpur. Now even the four-legged animals have adopted the policy of attacking. Businessmen and merchants face losses and people face inconvenience in cities and towns due to the terror of bulls. The BJP has disappeared after leaving people to their own devices, “he said.

Meanwhile, in the last episode, “saand” was trending on Twitter and Akhilesh was persecuted for making the announcement. While some said it was SP’s “Saand insurance policy”, others tweeted a photo of a bull pulling the party’s poster and commented that the bulls did not like the ad.
